Rumi von Baires and Carlos Valdes meet behind the decks for a B2B rooted in house music history, queer club culture and deep musical knowledge. Born in Buenos Aires to Cape Verdean families and now based in Vienna, Rumi von Baires draws from a rich palette shaped by jazz, Brazilian and African music. While house is his home base, his sets fluidly travel through disco, breaks and techno, often carried by soulful vocals and Afro-Latin rhythms. Beyond the dancefloor, he co-founded the Vienna platforms A Party Called JACK and GAZE, both dedicated to celebrating house music and amplifying queer artistic voices. Joining him is Amsterdam nightlife pillar Carlos Valdes, a central figure of the city’s LGBTQ+ club culture for more than two decades. As co-founder of the influential IsBurning parties, promoter, label owner and dedicated vinyl collector, Valdes is known for spellbinding sets that weave together decades of house and techno.
